Mullet Lake Results
December 05, 2009

The Palm Bay Bassmasters opened the year out of  Mullet Lake Park. The weather was frightful with rain in the morning hours and if you didn't wear your long-johns you were freezing after lunch time. The cold front really lock-jawed the bass but a victory is a victory. We had twelve anglers wet and cold, and no one was able to put a limit of five in to a live-well, only thirteen bass made it to the scale.

First place angler is reigning Classic Champion John Kinchen of Palm Bay. John put four bass in his live-well throwing a BangerLure in the am and switching to a junebug colored senko to finish the day off. His total weight was 7.31 pounds and his best fish was a 2.30 pound fatty. Nice way to start the year !!!

Second place goes to Bob Theilacker of Rockledge.. Bob fished Lemon Bluff all day throwing a junebug Yum Dinger. He only bagged two nice keepers but fishing a day like that is all you need to put you in the money. Bob's total weight was 4.39 pounds his best fish was a 2.84 pound hawg. Good Job !

Third place goes to B.J. Biles of Palm Bay. B.J. made the run to Lake Monroe and only put one bass in the boat. He was throwing his go to bait, a blue fluke, on the North end of Monroe when this monster gulped up his bait. He landed a nice keeper bass getting him Third place and Big Bass Honors with one bass weighing in at 2.85 pounds !!! Just beating out Mr. Theilacker, great job B.J.. !!!

The Craver Builders Small Creel award goes to our new club President Mike Mulligan. Mike hooked into a monster bucket mouth that pushed the scale to 0.68 pounds ! Awesome !!!

Thank you Guest angler, and future member, Ed Medberry for fishing with us on such an awesome day.

I'd like to thank you all for a great, safe, and successful tournament. May we all have an awesome year !!! See ya at the awards ceremony, Tour. D. / Donnie G.
